Post No Bills

Mixed media on canvas
Acrylic, gel medium, found text, and antique medical illustration collage
5 × 5 in.

Post No Bills is a small mixed-media work built from layered acrylic, gel medium, embedded text, and antique medical illustration fragments. The surface is scraped, distressed, and partially obscured, creating the feeling of a public wall where images and messages have been posted, weathered, torn, and overwritten.

Medical imagery appears inside the damaged field rather than sitting cleanly on top of it. The body becomes part of the surface—half diagram, half residue—caught between visibility and erasure.

The title pulls the work toward signage and prohibition. It suggests a surface meant to reject messages, even as it becomes covered by them. The result is part object, part warning, part damaged archive.
